Gaines & Wagoner

Based in Madison, WI, Gaines & Wagoner is the husband/wife duo of Mary Gaines and Chris Wagoner.  WAMI and multi-MAMA award winners and 30+ year veterans of the WI and Midwest music scene.  Gaines & Wagoner always put on a very eclectic and surprising show — electric violins, mandolins, ukulele, lap steel, guitar and. cello (walked like a bass) plus lots of duo vocals.  Recording credits include Willy Porter (including his upcoming yet-to-be-released project), Peter Mulvey, Pat McCurdy, Carrie Newcomer (10 albums on Rounder Records), and strings on Smashing Pumpkin’s multi-platinum release, “Gish” and many, many more local, regional and national artists.  Chris recently won a 2023 Wisconsin Area Music Award (WAMI) for “Violin Player of the Year”!

Co-founders many of Madison area’s favorite groups over the past 30+ decades: Harmonious Wail (vintage string jazz), The Common Faces (original “folk-soul”), The Moon Gypsies (original roots-rock/Americana), The Bob Westfall Band (new acoustic), Graminy (original “class-grass”) and The Stellanovas (vintage string jazz) and has performed with ensembles ranging from classical and folk to jazz, blues, rock and World music, Gaines & Wagoner’s music is informed by many genres but focuses on original and vintage jazz, blues and Americana.

The Cider Farm

The Cider Farm offers ciders made with organic, true cider apples grown near Mineral Point, Wisconsin. The ciders pair beautifully with the made from ‘scratch’ small plates featuring locally and organically grown ingredients.
