Back at The (actual) Cider Farm, the trees are ready for winter. Any remaining shriveled apples or teeny ones that died in the May 9th freeze are being removed so they don’t give rot diseases to next year’s crop. We will start pruning trees in February. Hopefully Mother Nature insulates the tree roots with a white blanket of snow and the air temperatures remain consistently cold, as winter should be.
Happy holidays to you all! Stay healthy and stay safe!
